Technical specifications are confirmed, including format requirements, resolution needs, and any special considerations. For events, coverage parameters are established, including start and end times, key moments to document, and any restrictions or preferences.
Equipment preparation includes ensuring backup equipment is available, memory cards are formatted and ready, and lighting equipment is tested. For location work, portable equipment is organized and transportation is arranged.
Photography Session
The photography session is conducted following the agreed parameters. The approach varies based on service type, from structured portrait sessions to observational event documentation.
During portrait sessions, the photographer works with the client to refine poses and expressions. Multiple compositions and variations are captured to provide options in the final selection. For events, the photographer moves throughout the space to ensure comprehensive coverage while remaining unobtrusive.
Technical considerations during the session include monitoring exposure, focus accuracy, and composition. Backup images are captured for important moments. Memory cards are changed regularly to prevent data loss.
Post-Processing
Following the session, files are transferred and backed up immediately. Post-processing includes color correction, exposure adjustments, and basic retouching as specified in the agreement.
Files are organized and cataloged for efficient review and delivery. A selection process identifies the strongest images from the session. Processing is applied consistently across the selected images.
Additional editing services, such as advanced retouching or creative effects, are available upon request and within the scope of the original agreement. Processing timelines are communicated clearly to manage expectations.
Delivery
Files are delivered in the specified formats within the agreed timeline. Standard delivery methods include secure online transfer for digital files. Physical delivery options are available for prints or other physical media.
Delivery includes both high-resolution files suitable for printing and web-optimized versions for digital use. File organization follows a logical structure, with clear naming conventions for easy identification.
Revisions are available within the scope of the original agreement. Requests for additional processing or edits beyond the initial scope are discussed and may involve additional arrangements.
